Input Data For v.*

   In this test pattern, we are testing
   the compression of about 1/4th of a
   page of black text on white paper.

   The image was created on a word
   processor using two colors. Then it
   was printed out and scanned in.

I. Input Notes:

   A. Printer: The printer used was
      Tektronix Phasor 560 at 1,200
      DPI.

   B. Paper: The paper used was
      Office Depot 20lb. multi-purpose
      copier paper.

   C. Resolution: The image was
      scanned at 300 DPI with a Umax
      1220S into Adobe Photoshop, Mac
      version.
